Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Programmer/Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team on the 1st shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating sheet and plate laser cutting equipment with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency. This position requires a solid understanding of technical drawings and specifications, as well as the ability to operate precision tools and machinery in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accuracy in production. –

- - Use and maintenance of precision measuring equipment such as ID and OD Micrometers, calipers, etc.

- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- - Daily, weekly , monthly PM checklist

- Work with Maintenance on major maintenance and repairs

- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.

- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specified standards.

- - First Article Inspection

- Maintain inventory of production related consumables

Qualifications:

Education, Skills and Experience

- Ability to work 1st shift (8:00 am-5:00 pm Monday through Friday, Saturday 1/2 day )

- High School graduate or equivalent.

- Min 5 years programming lasers for sheet metal fabrication.

- Strong mathematical skills.

- Able to communicate effectively both oral/written.

- Ability to read blueprints, understand GD&T including ability to write, edit and troubleshoot programs and machine issues.

- Excellent multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, critical thinking, and work with minimal Supervision.

- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
