Land Management Intern will support our right-of-way acquisition and document control efforts, assisting project managers and land agents with the organization, review, and tracking of critical project documentation. The ideal student candidate is organized, eager to learn, and interested in pursuing a career in land, energy management, energy finance, or business administration with a focus in natural resource management.
A Land Intern will perform some of these duties at an entry level
- Assist with the organization, filing, and tracking of right-of-way and land acquisition project documents.
- Support the land department in maintaining accurate project records and databases.
- Assist the land department with administering incoming pipeline encroachment requests
- Review and summarize land-related agreements, title documents, and legal descriptions.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and data summaries related to project status and land acquisition progress.
- Help ensure document compliance and consistency with company standards and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth project execution.
- Perform additional administrative and research tasks as needed.
- Learn and develop ability to apply knowledge of Land principles to transmission and gathering pipeline industry
- Receive guidance and direction from more senior Land Representatives
- May perform other duties as assigned
- Undergraduate and Graduate students enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university are eligible for DT Midstream’ s Internship program. Students will no longer be eligible to hold an internship position upon graduation from their program unless the student has been accepted into another degree program.
- Students must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
- College students will be asked to provide an official transcript as proof of eligibility prior to receiving an offer of employment.
- Coursework in Land, Oil/Gas, or Energy Management preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Land industry terms and references
- Some assignments will require driving. Those positions will require the student to have a valid driver’s license, a reliable means of transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency in computer applications applicable to specific work field/discipline including Excel, Word, Visio and Access database
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Effective time management and a personal commitment to work
- Practice the corporate Service Keys of Safe, Caring, Efficient and Reliable

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works at an asset location or project site. While working at the asset location and project sites, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including cold/hot, wet and/or humid conditions, uneven or steep terrain and may work near moving mechanical parts and/or machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration (see physical requirements above). The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate in the office but, may become loud at the project site
