Maintains cleaning the building and grounds of property.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Possession of maintenance experience is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
•Must have basic industrial maintenance and safety knowledge
•Knowledge of equipment maintenance and technical understanding
•Skill in being a selfstarter with effective organizational skills
•Skill in use of ability to use power tools
•Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate attention to detail and flexibility
•Successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, physical, audiogram, and vision test.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will be responsible for assisting with the troubleshooting, resolution and repair of a variety of maintenance related duties. This position will also be responsible for the safe performance of job specifications, including but not limited to:
1. The ability to assist in the management of all assigned machines and equipment, including but not limited to, production area equipment, packaging equipment, grinding and polishing equipment, and material handling equipment, i.e. carts and bins
2. The ability to assist in performing inspection and extensive cleaning of all production equipment, engineering equipment; special projects equipment; and office equipment
3. The ability to assist in performing minor fabrication and welding, minor electrical repairs (lights, outlets and plugs), minor plumbing repairs (sinks, toilets, water heater, and supply lines) with oversight and direction from the maintenance supervisor and provided that the employee has completed the necessary training
4. The ability to assist in performing facilities’ maintenance, including but not limited to: assisting in the maintenance of heating and cooling systems; performing lawn and yard care maintenance; assisting in the repair of sprinkler systems; ability to repairs signs and fences; ability to assist in the repair of doors and windows; and other additional cleaning tasks as assigned
5. The ability to follow directions, meet deadlines, and work under pressure; the ability to follow Lock Out / Tag Out procedures; and, the ability to assist in performing unscheduled vehicle repairs, including required cleaning
6. The ability to assist in the management of waste products (Coolant, scrap metal and maintenance byproducts)
7. The ability to maintain a clean and organized tool room and maintenance supplies; the ability to ensure each work area is properly clean and items appropriately stored; and, the ability to examine the building and machinery for needed improvements; the ability to assist with set-up for special events
8. The ability clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and/or vacuuming.
9. The ability to assist with set-up for special events
WORKING CONDITIONS
1. Full time shop exposure.
2. Extreme temperatures. (Sometimes due to season).
3. Travel between the plant required
4. Perform work standing up for 8-10 hours per day and up to 6 days a week.
5. Good vision, hearing, smell and balance.
6. Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 - 40 lbs.
7. Ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat or kneel regularly as well as climb stairs and ladders.
