This position requires skills to inspect, install, repair, adjust, construct, modify, calibrate, program and wire all electrical and electronic apparatus, devices, and circuits of any voltages in the plant or assigned area. Also requires the ability to assist in the design and service of all types electrical, electronic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical, radio controlled equipment and any type of integrating, indicating or graphic electrical, electronic or mechanical instruments and control equipment. Help ensure that all equipment performs at par with safety and OEM specifications.
- Maintain a good working relationship with Operating personnel in order to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
- Analytically troubleshoot and resolve electrical malfunctions back to OEM Specifications.
- Routinely check the performance of electrical equipment.
- The employee is responsible for maintaining maintenance records, inspection reports, and processing Work Orders.
- Ensure a clean and safe work area. Must follow all PPE policies and safety rules.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Attend and participate in Line-Out meetings to communicate daily activities between incoming and outgoing Maintenance shift crews.
- Make necessary equipment repairs during the shift to maintain equipment availability for production.
- Complete Maintenance shift reports and corresponding paper work.
- Participate in production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers as it pertains to equipment reliability and availability.
- Perform required Daily; Weekly, Quarterly and Annual check sheets as established by the Maintenance Department and O.E.M. suppliers.
- Prepares reports, forms, records and related paperwork for assigned area.
- Other duties as assigned.
o An electrical certification or technical degree preferred.
o Ability to read documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure/equipment manuals as well as electrical/Mechanical schematic drawings.
o Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
o Knowledge of general manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery preferred.
o Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with PLC’s, VFD’s, Level I & II communication systems preferred.
o Employee must be able to work with a flexible or rotating schedule which may require over-time when needed.
o Read, write & speak English in a clear and effective manner.
o Ability to work in a team environment.
o Understands all applicable plant safety rules and regulations and makes sure that all are being followed.
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
- Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted on site.
- The ability to lift 25/50 pounds regularly.
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations.
- The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying 40 pounds.
- The ability to work in loud, hot environments/extreme weather while wearing required PPE.
- Ability to see 20-20 when corrected.
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
