The IT Desktop Technician II under strict supervision, performs configuration, installation and/or repairs of PC hardware and peripherals according to established procedures
- Pay Rate: Up to $40.00/hour, depending on experience.
- Assignment Length: 12-month contract with a high possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors.
This role focuses on providing essential technical support by managing data migrations, maintaining hardware, and ensuring facility security and safety standards are met. The position involves coordinating equipment repairs, assisting with specialized PC setups, and providing guidance to desktop support teams to ensure smooth operational continuity.
- Contact end users to define data migration requirements and perform the data migration as required.
- Monitor for trouble tickets and coordinate with appropriate vendors for equipment repair when needed.
- Adhere to and enforce facility security measures, company safety standards, and software licensing procedures.
- Assist in setting up PCs and related peripherals for special requests.
- Lend guidance to desktop support teams on hardware-related issues.
- Perform assigned work and provide assistance to others as directed.
- Ensure job tasks are correctly performed to maintain the viability of the organization.
- Maintain accountability, as errors are readily ascertainable by the supervisor and can be corrected.- Skills typically acquired through possession of an A+ certification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PC-related field, including specific experience in hardware configuration.
