Conduct all aspects of exploration geophysics. Support all aspects of seismic acquisition, processing, data conditioning, seismic inversion, and calculation of volumetric seismic attributes. Utilize volumetric attribute generation such as dip magnitude, coherence, curvature, and tracking for reservoir evaluation. Lead all aspects of seismic quantitative interpretation workflow including characterization of reservoir mechanical properties and creation of appropriate inversion products integrated with core and petrophysical analysis for interpretation away from well control points. Perform regional and detailed structural and stratigraphic mapping. Contribute to 2D and 3D regional seismic interpretation and calculations. Perform sequence stratigraphic evaluations and evaluations and development of new trends and drilling opportunities. Provide deep technical expertise and use seismic processing techniques including geometry building, signal processing, noise attenuation, refraction statistics, FWI, 5D interpolation, compressive sensing, anisotropic tomography / velocity model building, and depth migration.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master's degree in Geology or Geophysics.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of experience as Petroleum Geophysicist or closely-related occupation involving petroleum geophysics.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The required five (5) years of experience as Petroleum Geophysicist or closely-related occupation involving petroleum geophysics must have involved reservoir analysis and valuation, structural and stratigraphic mapping, 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and calculations, and the use of seismic processing techniques including geometry building, signal processing, noise attenuation, refraction statistics, 5D interpolation, compressive sensing, anisotropic tomography / velocity model building, and depth migration.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
