Energy Transfer is seeking an Entry-Level GIS Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a bachelor’s degree and foundational GIS experience. The successful candidate will support our GIS operations by performing data entry, data conversion, and geospatial editing tasks to maintain accurate and up-to-date geospatial data
- Update and maintain Energy Transfer’s geodatabase with contract acreage dedications.
- Perform digitizing tasks, including creating and editing polygon features and adjusting vertices.
- Convert spatial data between formats and ensure data integrity.
- Conduct quality checks to verify accuracy and completeness of GIS data.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and maintain data standards.
Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements of this position are listed below:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Experience: No prior professional experience required; coursework or academic projects involving GIS are required.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic proficiency with GIS software (e.g., Esri ArcGIS).
- Understanding of geodatabases, spatial data formats, and digitizing workflows.
- Other Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office environment.

2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
