CRD General Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Control Panel Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting control panels that serve as the backbone of our automation and electrical systems. Your expertise will ensure that each control panel meets rigorous quality standards and functions reliably within complex machinery and systems. - Assembly, wiring and testing of various LV control panels based on wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and specifications.
- Able to read and interpret shop drawings, electrical schematics and/or engineering drawings.
- Involves wiring, crimping, and working with wire harnesses.
- Maintain red-line mark-ups of changes made during fabrication.
- Undertake other reasonable tasks as may be required from time to time.
- Prepare completed control panels for shipment.
- Communicate effectively with all team members.
- Fabrication of UL-508A Industrial Control Panels
- Understanding of electrical circuits to include PLC’s, Ethernet networking, instrumentation, and controls.
- Routing and bundling of wire and cables neatly to meet wiring standards.
- Utilize engineering documentation (bill of materials, panel layouts) and electrical schematics to ensure compliant and fully functioning panel/control.
- Read basic wiring diagram and install low voltage wiring in control panel based on diagram.
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes.
- Communicate any documentation inaccuracies to the Project Manager and/or Shop Supervisor.
- Must be able to read electrical schematics.
- Must have 3+ years of electrical control panel wiring experience.- Must be able to work without supervision.
- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs regularly (tools, wire spools, panel components)
- Stand, walk, and work at a bench or panel station for extended periods
- Bend, reach, and crouch to assemble and wire panels
- Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for wiring, crimping, and precision electrical tasks
- Tolerate exposure to shop conditions including noise, heat, and electrical equipment
- Wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots) throughout shifts
- Climb ladders and work at heights when needed
