Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Continouos Casting Manager to oversee the copper casting furnace operations within our manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and casting processes, along with the ability to lead a team effectively. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As the Continous Casting Manager, you will ensure that the casting furnace is operating properly, staffed, managed and the tube meets quality standards.
- Manage and supervise the daily operations of the casting department.
- Oversee the setup and operation of various casting equipment
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed while operating the furnace.
- Collaborate with quality and management to develop casting specifications and processes.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows to meet deadlines.
- Perform optical spectrometry testing to ensure the chemical composition of the melt is correct.
- Conduct regular inspections of cast products using OES Spectrometry, microscope to measure grain structure, and dimensional testing.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in casting techniques, including furnace setup, furnace loading, scrap and cathode selection.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the casting process to minimize downtime.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with precision measuring tools, optical spectrometry, and microscopic analysis
- Ability to operate cranes and forklifts safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
