We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Associate to join our dynamic team at The Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse. This role is pivotal in driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and promoting our auction services within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for the energy sector.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by researching and contacting potential clients, including oil and gas companies, equipment suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat business.
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities within the oil and gas auction market.
Promote upcoming auctions through targeted outreach, presentations, and networking events to attract bidders and consignors.
Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and presentations tailored to client needs.
Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility.
Track and report on business development activities, including leads, conversions, and revenue metrics, to senior management.
Work closely with auction operations, marketing, and legal teams to ensure seamless client experiences and compliance with industry regulations.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Energy Management, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in the oil and gas industry or auction services.
Familiarity with the oil and gas sector, including equipment, exploration, and production processes, is highly desirable.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building client relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to building professional networks.
Ability to analyze market trends and client needs to develop effective business strategies.
Proficient in CRM software (e.g., Hubspot), Microsoft Office Suite, and auction management platforms.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry events, and auctions as needed.
