We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our team in San Miguel Electric Cooperative, Inc. This pivotal role involves overseeing accounting operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations while contributing to our mission of delivering quality energy solutions. Responsibilities

- Supervise daily accounting operations, ensuring adherence to GAAP and SOX compliance.

- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets.

- Mentor junior accounting staff, fostering professional development.

- Conduct audits and manage tax-related activities.

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.

- Ensure accurate financial analysis and reporting for management decision-making.

- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes.

- Maintain general ledger integrity through regular reconciliations.

- Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

- CPA preferred

- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX regulations, and financial reporting standards.

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero).

- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

- Ability to mentor and develop team members effectively.

- Experience in budgeting and forecasting is a plus.

- Strong communication skills for collaboration across departments.
