Job Overview
Join our growing oil and gas sales and service company with mid-size revenues. Experience with service-oriented operations preferred. Responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the general ledger accounting process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
- Oversee accounts reconciliation processes using Sage Software.
- Light HR duties such as onboarding and administration of company benefits and employee files.
- Maintain asset equipment administrative documents.
- A/P and A/R daily processing.
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis to monitor organizational liquidity.
- Assist with tax preparation and ensure adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations. Including multi-state sales taxes, franchise tax, and income taxes.
- Support payroll processing activities while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Contribute to financial report writing and interpretation for internal stakeholders or external auditors.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all accounting processes, journal entries, and audit trails for transparency.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting standards.
- Job costing preparation with labor and materials
- Inventory management assistance
- Proficiency in Sage or similar platforms; experience with Microsoft Excel is essential.
- Expertise in double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
- Familiarity with financial concepts including debits & credits, accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and cash flow analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; capable of conducting thorough account analysis and budget monitoring.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work in a small office environment with a potential wide range of ancillary needs.
- Preference to candidates with CPA certification.
