Coordinate in the operations of Supplier Diversity and perform clerical support functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Coordinate and administer specific aspects of the Supplier Diversity Program to aid in the award of contracts to minority, women and locally owned small vendors/businesses. Capturing data, creating reports for senior leadership, collection of payments and validate payments for
Supplier Diversity. Review all supplier bids, services and contracts as requisitioned by the Division to ensure program objectives are met.
Facilitate training meetings for internal departments and awareness events for minority, women and locally owned small businesses / vendors to ensure Division's specifications are met including Supplier Diversity surveys for Supplier Diversity
Advisory council, subcontractors and primes regarding our policies, polling the Advisory Counsil for suggestion to improve and better serve our business community and customers. Maintain awareness of market conditions and product availability to help identify MWBE/LSBs to become suppliers/ contractors, monitor their performance and ensure they are compliant and adherent to MLGW
Procurement & Supplier Diversity guidelines. Represent the Supplier Diversity office and present on behalf of MLGW at MWBE/LSBs activities such as meetings, trade fairs, seminars and conferences. Maintain supplier diversity databases to track accurate reporting of dollars spent with MWBE/LSBs. Monitor and provide weekly/daily outstanding audits and follow up with primes and subs
on the submission of invoices, receipts, and payments utilizing B2Gnow.Stay abreast of the Division's procurement policies /procedures. Perform administrative functions and other duties as directed.
Must have a driver's license from state of residence.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree required; preferred in Business Administration or related area with courses in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Marketing.
Certification or training in contract compliance or MWBE certification experience. Preferred minimum 2-years nonprofit or public sector experience with diverse groups.
Must be advanced in Microsoft Office Suite, including data processing, excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations. Must have exceptional writing
skills; organizational ability to execute policies and programs; and communication skills to clearly present information in front of large groups and to
influence or persuade others in positive and negative circumstances.
Must also have the ability to relate to a diverse population and various community
organizations; flexibility to adjust to changing conditions; analytical skills for solving problems; and numerical ability to compute costs, statistical data and
budget. Physical Demands: Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally some
