IRONWORKER Job Description
Overview
We are looking for a skilled Ironworker to join our energetic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metal fabrication and construction, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As an Ironworker, you will handle the assembly, installation, and repair of structural steel and other metal parts in various construction projects. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a focus on safety.
Duties
•Interpret and follow blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
•Construct and install structural steel elements, such as beams, columns, and trusses.
•Carry out welding tasks using different techniques such as FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and Stick welding.
•Use power tools and equipment safely to cut, shape, and join metal parts.
•Perform pipe threading as needed for each project.
•Securely load rig equipment for safe lifting and transport with forklifts or other machinery.
•Make sure all work meets safety standards and regulations.
•Work with other construction professionals to keep project deadlines on track.
Qualifications
•Demonstrated experience as an Ironworker or in a comparable role within the construction industry.
•Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
•Knowledge of welding methods including FCAW and Stick welding.
•Experience with rigging, forklift operation, and operating power tools.
•Strong fabrication skills with the ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and angles.
•Strong problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
•Ability to work effectively in a team setting while remaining self-motivated.
•Physical stamina to endure manual labor for long periods.
•Proper stick welding (SMAW) Certifications are required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
