Reporting Structure:
The Staging Associate will report directly to the Production Lead and work as part of a six-person team responsible for setting the pace of workflow throughout the fabrication floor.
- Accurately pick, assemble, and package components, materials, or products into kits based on work orders or packing lists.
- Prepare and package kits for the fabrication floor and shipments to outside vendors.
- Verify completeness and quality of kits to meet company standards.
- Perform visual and basic quality inspections to ensure accuracy and condition of staged materials.
- Label, stage, and package items appropriately for shipping or internal use.
- Maintain an organized and clean staging area to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Report discrepancies, damaged items, or shortages to the Quality and Inventory Management teams.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in staging, kitting, packing, and inspection processes.
- Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
While the primary responsibility is staging, associates may also support the following areas as needed:
- Cycle counting, stock rotation, and downstocking.
- Document and track inventory movements within the ERP system (INFOR preferred).
- Assist in receiving, organizing, and storing materials.
- Operate lift trucks, forklifts, and other vehicles safely to minimize product and asset damage.
- Correctly identify (bar codes) and store products according to specified requirements.
- Maintain general organization and cleanliness of work areas.
- Assist in packaging and preparing outbound shipments.
- Support vendor shipments and receiving as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and BOMs.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- 2–5 years of experience.
- Experience with ERP systems, INFOR preferred.
- Forklift driving experience is preferred.
- Basic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to take direction and execute tasks accordingly.
- Must be able to lift/push up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift (excluding breaks).
- Willingness to work additional hours and some weekends as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
