Your contribution!
The Vice President - Human Resources is a member of the Senior Leadership Team for which they play a key role as advisor and true business partner. They must play a coaching role to ensure optimal collaboration and alignment between all members of the team.
They have a clear vision and understanding of the company’s activities as well as the industry to propose competitive compensation and adequate workforce planning strategies to support the company’s growth objectives and day-to-day operations. They must develop a vision and mindset of business partners among the Human Resources team supporting the Business. They must accompany the CEO with the strengthening of an execution-driven and collaborative culture across the company. They must facilitate the transformation of some key business units towards a more aligned and required role in the company.
The VP – Human Resources will also have the objectives of implementing a clear support path and providing aligned human resources strategies to support the business, including succession planning for the senior leadership team, and talent development. They are an inspiring and engaging leader, with extensive experience in various fields of human resources expertise.
They establish a close relationship with internal customers and the external talent market to position an innovative employer offering at the forefront of new generation trends. Their added value lies in in-depth knowledge of corporate strategy, internal customers, stakeholders, key employees. and business and industry processes.
Your day-to-day!•Play an influential role with the CEO and the Senior Leadership Team to provide the best internal customer services and contribute to achieving the strategic objectives of the company;
•Support the CEO in implementing an execution-driven and collaborative culture across the company;
•Act as a leadership coach to the Senior Leadership Team;
•Develop an effective Human Resources team dedicated to providing services to the business, supporting the company’s day-to-day strategy and vision for the long-term;
•Prepare succession plans for the Senior Leadership Team and other key positions in the organization;
•Provide leadership in the area of executive compensation;
•Implement equitable and innovative global compensation practices, and regularly measure the competitiveness of programs against reference markets;
•Participate in the implementation of common performance indicators within the management team to provide employees with clear objectives and an understanding of their direct contribution to the overall success of the organization;
•Act as an ambassador for the company's culture, values, mission and objectives;
•Contribute to the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors and play an influential role as a key member of the Committee;
•Develop and implement Human Resources management policies with a focus on mobilization and equity, the achievement of corporate objectives and inter-team synergies.
Your skills, our requirements!
•University degree in Human Resources management or other relevant training;
•Minimum of 15 years of experience in Human Resources management, including 10 years as a senior manager;
•Experience in multi-site companies with international business units;
•Previous work experience in innovative contexts and environments in terms of management practices and in multi-generational organizations;
•Ability to motivate in a team-oriented and collaborative environment;
•Is an influential catalyst for change, able to propose HR strategies relevant to the company's development, and able to engage and coach colleagues from the management team;
•Has good business acumen and demonstrates strategic and tactical thinking to meet the HR challenges facing the company;
•Has the interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team in diverse environments and with a variety of cultures and personality styles;
•Is able to find and implement innovative solutions to promote the company and attract the required talent;
•Demonstrates agile leadership to build, lead and support a high-performing, motivated team in supporting the Business;
•Solid experience in organizational transformation and change management;
•Demonstrates integrity, ethics and transparency in management;
•Solid knowledge of executive compensation models;
•Available for travel within and outside Canada (20-30%);
•Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills;
•Bilingualism (French and English, written and spoken) is required to ensure collaboration with different stakeholders outside of Québec on a regular basis. Spanish is an asset.
