· Analyze basic engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly and welding operations.
· Weld components in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions as certified by CWB.
· Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc (GTAW), gas metal arc (GMAW), flux-cored arc (FCAW), plasma arc (PAW), shielded metal arc (SMAW), and oxy-acetylene (OAW).
· Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines
· Coordinate with administration and other trades for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently.
· Request equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of required items.
· Assist other trades personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
· Maintain the equipment in good working condition
· Follow, respect and apply all safety procedures and guidelines and to keep up-to-date in safety procedures. Wear proper safety equipment.
· Occasionally work outside in the various temperatures and environment may be required
· Follow all related activities identified in the Company quality management systems
· Maintain a neat and organized work area.
· Perform other related tasks as required by the immediate supervisor or manager.
· Require his or her work area clean.
· Must be able to obtain CWB tickets. Company Provided Testing.
· Skill in the use and care of the tools and equipment common to the welding trade
· Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade
· Must be very conscientious of quality control for finished products.
· Must have an excellent team spirit to accomplish final goals and work cooperatively with others
· Must be autonomous and have strong initiative skills
· Must be flexible to work on various products and tasks
2. Group Insurance after 3 months probationary period
3. Costs associated with Housing and Transportation (to and from) are incurred by CLMW
4. Work boots provided after 3 months and intervals of 1 year
6. Coveralls, tool box and PPE are provided
7. Work week starts on Sunday and ends on the following Saturday. Wages will be paid the following Thursday.
8. If an employee works more than 40 hours in a work week, the employee will be entitled to overtime pay which is 1.5 times their hourly wage.
9. Pay for annual leave will be paid as 4% of total wages earned on each pay.
10. LOA Paid Weekly at $175/week based on 66 hr work week
