Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Certified Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various welding techniques and equipment. This role is essential in ensuring the fabrication and assembly of metal structures and components according to specifications, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Duties

- Perform welding tasks using various techniques including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.

- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications.

- Fabricate metal components and ductwork as required for specific projects.

- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble parts and structures.

- Conduct plasma cutting operations for precise metal shaping.

- Rig materials safely for transport and assembly within the workspace.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

- Operate forklifts when necessary to move materials around the facility.

Qualifications

- Certification in welding from an accredited program or institution.

- Underground Common Core (REQUIRED)

- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.

- Experience with ductwork fabrication is preferred but not mandatory.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

- Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely.

- Ability to rig materials effectively for safe handling during assembly processes.

- Forklift certification is a plus but can be obtained post-hire if necessary.

- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
