Job Summary

Join our team as a Propane Delivery Driver and become a vital link in delivering essential heat to our valued customers. In this role, you will operate a class 7 single rear axle propane truck along with a class 8 day cab on occasion to ensure timely and safe delivery of propane and related products. Your expertise in commercial driving and route management will drive customer satisfaction while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties

- Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, service trucks & tankers to deliver propane and related freight.

- Create your own route schedules while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery priorities to meet customer expectations.

- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety compliance and vehicle maintenance standards are met.

- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records for accountability and reporting purposes.

- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries, confirm receipt, and address any issues promptly.

- Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to handling hazardous materials like propane, including proper use of protective equipment and emergency procedures.

Experience

- Proven experience in truck driving or commercial delivery roles, preferably with propane or hazardous materials transportation.

- Experience in operating manual transmission vehicles is useful but not required.

- Familiarity with driving any class 7 and class 8 trucks is desirable.

- Strong knowledge of route driving practices with excellent navigation skills.

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to propane or hazardous materials preferred.

- Experience with truck driving involving freight handling across different vehicle types enhances your candidacy.
