Exciting opportunity to join our new team at AMG Chrome US LLC in New Castle. We are looking to recruit working Production Team Leaders due to expansion plans in a new production facility producing Chromium metal.
This will be 2-shift pattern, 4 days per week.
We are looking for candidates who can champion health and safety, lead and supervisor a shift team to achieve targets and to support the operation, control and monitoring of machinery.

- Ensuring that health, safety and environmental policies are followed
- Lead and motivate a team of employees by deploying strong leadership qualities
- Making sure that products are produced on time, are of high quality, to shift targets
- Keep close control of waste streams and ensure that the correct packaging and labelling is being used
- Ensure high housekeeping standards are set and maintained at all times
- Drive the resolution of any plant related incidents and downtime, by working with Maintenance/Engineering
- Where required, ensure holidays and absence are covered to ensure production targets are maintained
- Ensure shift handovers take place at the workstation to ensure production continuity (when required)
- Manage meal breaks in accordance with business requirements
- Assist with administrative tasks pertaining to data including production consumptions and the transfer and withdraw of raw materials (when required)
- Main source of training to colleagues within that department
- Communicate work instructions, company announcements and team briefs to your teams
- Develop & maintain constant communication lines with management
- Carry out process duties including:
- To manufacture products according to both standard operating procedures and safe working procedures
- To complete and maintain all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Low level maintenance routines
- Weighing and blending of material mixes
- Submit samples to Laboratory where role requires
- FLT driver duties as required
- Firing reactions to produce finished product
- Building & stripping of firing pots
We are looking for candidates with the following experience:
- Experience of leading teams in a heavy manufacturing environment (preferred)
- High school diploma required. Secondary education preferred.
- Able to plan and organise manning, materials and production in a busy environment
- Good knowledge of health & safety and environmental procedures (OSHA certifications preferred)
- Able to complete risk assessments on equipment in the plant
- Can demonstrate strong leadership and decision making skills
- Proficiency with computer systems (Microsoft Office, ERP systems)
- Knowledge of processes, product, policies and procedures
- Good oral & written communication skills
- Crane/FLT licences (preferred)
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends, as required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Use of PPE including respirators, gloves, eye protection, and flame-retardant clothing
