- Visually and physically patrol buildings and grounds of industrial plant and offices, ensuring security.
- Inspect equipment to maintain in ready position.
- Screen and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked. Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment.
- Regulate vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the plant entrance to maintain orderly flow.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments using proper tools; Records scale weights of incoming and outgoing truck shipments and provide instructions to drivers.
- Provide first level emergency support to employees including basic first aid or other emergency treatments.
