World Energy Harrisburg is seeking a talented Plant Engineer with strong project management and AutoCAD skills to join our biodiesel production team in Camp Hill, PA. In this role, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving plant operations while leading capital and process improvement projects from concept through completion.
You will provide technical expertise, develop detailed drawings and layouts, oversee project timelines and budgets, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and leadership teams to ensure initiatives are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives on solving complex problems, coordinating teams, and driving innovation in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Provide engineering support to ensure safe, efficient plant operations and product quality.
- Create, update, and maintain plant layouts, P&IDs, and equipment drawings using AutoCAD.
- Lead and manage capital projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and contractor coordination.
- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize throughput, reliability, and energy efficiency.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs with engineering solutions.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards (including BQ-9000).
- Prepare technical reports, drawings, and project updates for plant leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or energy production.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D required; 3D experience a plus).
- Proven project management experience, including budget and schedule control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with process safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
