The Meter Measurement Technician will serve as an integral member of the IT team with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
- Perform scheduled regulator and relief valve testing
- Calibrating Electronic Flow computers
- Operate natural gas chromatograph moisture analyzer
- Perform basic plumbing and tubing bending
- Install, operate, and maintain gas measurement equipment including flow meters, gas chromatographs, EFM (Electronic Flow Measurement) devices, transmitters, and associated instrumentation
- Perform routine calibration and verification of measurement devices to ensure accuracy
- Collect and analyze gas volume and quality data from various field locations
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to gas flow discrepancies, communication failures, and instrumentation errors
- Maintain accurate logs and records of maintenance, calibrations, and system modifications and document those records in Seneca’s asset management software
- Work closely with Measurement Foreman, operations, engineering, and SCADA teams to ensure reliable data collection and integration
- Ensure all work complies with company safety procedures, DOT regulations, API standards, and other applicable regulations
- Assist in the testing and validation of new measurement technologies and procedures
- Provide support during audits and inspections from regulatory agencies or internal departments
- Comply with Seneca’s EHSQ policies, standards and procedures and demonstrate active and regular involvement in EHSQ programs
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in oil and gas industry preferred
- Experience with operating, maintaining, and calibrating measurement or analytical equipment is highly desirable
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work around flowing wells
- Strong understanding of measurement principles and analytical equipment
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with measurement systems
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain measurement systems and devices
- Prepare clear and accurate reports and records
- Proficient in using computers and learning new software programs
- Willing to work in all types of weather
- Ability to work in the field independently
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Multitask and prioritize workload effectively
The successful candidate must be authorized to work in United States of America with a valid driver’s license with no restrictions to operate a company vehicle.
