Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Facilities Technician with plumbing experience to join our team! As a Facilities plumber, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plumbing systems within our facility. Your primary goal is to ensure efficient operation of plumbing systems, conducting preventive maintenance, and responding to emergency repairs to minimize downtime and create a comfortable and safe environment for our employees and tenants.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Inspect and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, drains, and water heaters.

- Replace or repair faulty components such as faucets, valves, and pumps.

- Periodically inspect joints, valves, pumps, boilers, water heaters, sinks, commodes, tanks, valves, and other plumbing system components to locate malfunctions, and repairs or replaces when necessary.

- Performs preventative maintenance work as required.

- Assist in the installation of new plumbing systems and equipment.

- Upgrade existing plumbing systems to meet current standards and improve efficiency.

- Collaborate with contractors and other technicians during installations and upgrades.

- Ensure all plumbing work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety standards.

- Maintain proper documentation of plumbing inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

- Conduct safety training and ensure all plumbing safety protocols are followed.

- Assist with general maintenance tasks as needed, including plumbing, HVAC, and construction.

- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency repairs.

- Support facilities projects and initiatives as required.

- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

- HS Diploma required.

- Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.

- Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time.

- Must be available for building emergencies.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

- Knowledge and experience of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the plumbing trade.

- Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes.

- Knowledge of the mechanical operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, water heaters, and other plumbing components.

- Experience in commercial services.

- Working Knowledge of current regulations within the plumbing field.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
