Inspect and repair various types of forklifts and material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Perform routine Forklift inspections daily:
- Fluids (Engine, Hydraulic, Brake, and Coolant Systems)
- Safety Check (Horn, Seat belt, Lights, etc)
- Check and report damage found on equipment
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to operators on proper forklift usage and maintenance.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to identify equipment issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, as needed
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and execute repairs, as needed- 1+ years as a mechanic (heavy equipment or automotive)
- Experience working with hydraulic systems
- Experience diagnosing electrical issues
- Basic computer skills are preferred
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; elevated noise levels and vibration. Employee must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
