Overview
Taylor Diversion Programs is seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian/Maintenance worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in two settings, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through proper care techniques
- Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts efficiently.
- Conduct minor maintenance tasks and report any facility issues to management.
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects as required.
- Support residential painting projects when necessary.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Perform minor repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Monitor the building for maintenance issues and report larger repairs as needed.
- Proven experience in cleaning and custodial roles
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment operation.
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance practices
- Ability to perform cleaning tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage time efficiently.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous janitorial and/or maintenance experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical work such as bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Must pass background check and clearance requirements for working in a school/residential environment.
