As an APX Supply Chain Engineering Intern, you will support Westinghouse APX Supply Chain team in verifying quality and technical requirements for projects, products, and service deliveries from Westinghouse. This verification process spans from the bid phase and component design through manufacturing.
You will report to the Sr Manager, APX Supply Chain and be located at our Cranberry facility. This is a paid full-time onsite position for the summer.
- Support supplier evaluation for all suppliers as requested delivery stream office for AP1000 and AP300 opportunities in North America and EMEA region
- Lead RFQ package creation, review supplier design proposals and compliance matrices, and support supplier selection for PO placement
- Manage project support team, lead supplier kick-off meetings, oversee critical manufacturing activities, and ensure adherence to witness and hold points
- Monitor PO scope completion (fabrication, testing, documentation), process PO change notices, complete quality release, and archive QA documentation
- Provide project schedule and customer status updates, coordinate shipment with logistics, and ensure turnover of equipment and documentation
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, power, or nuclear engineering
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Completed Sophomore year of college
- European Union Citizen
- Fluent in English
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
