We are looking for an experienced Welder to join our Erie, PA location, You will weld and cut with various gas and electric welding, cutting and back gouging equipment on all ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. Welds pressure to pressure, pressure to structural and structural parts to ASME Codes and Specifications and to Codes and Specifications and/or Customer Requirements.
- Must have a minimum of (3) years of continuous welding experience.
- Must be able to qualify to ASME Section IX in both GMAW, GTAW and FCAW processes in the Horizontal (2G) position.
- Must be able to pass random RT testing to maintain welder qualifications and to meet customer requirements.
- Must be able to review job orders, drawings and routing to determine proper welding equipment, methods, rod, amperage and gas mixtures.
- Must be able to operate hand tools including air chisel and hand grinders.
- Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate for the job.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
- Keep work area safe and orderly and move parts with-in department as needed.
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings.
- Communicate effectively with operators on preceding and following shifts.
- Perform duties called out on the “Operators Routine Maintenance Checklist
- Must qualify to and work to the appropriate FMC, ASME or customer requirements. Must requalify whenever there is a specific reason to question his ability to make welds that meet the specification.
- This job will not receive SIMO pay. The SIMO adjustment is considered in the job code.
- Rotation among the machines and duties of this position for the purpose of maintaining skill level is a requirement.
