We are seeking a proactive and experienced Shift Supervisor to lead our production operations. In this pivotal role, you will ensure safety, efficiency, and quality across the production floor. You’ll be instrumental in supervising personnel, managing equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
As a Shift Supervisor, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Team Leadership & Training: Train and supervise production staff, enforce policies, manage schedules, and promote a positive work culture.
- Safety & Compliance: Uphold safety standards (LOTO, PPE, machine guarding), enforce procedures, and report incidents promptly.
- Production Oversight: Monitor workflow, adjust line speeds, ensure material availability, and meet daily production goals.
- Quality & Maintenance: Oversee quality checks, maintain equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and support lean initiatives.
- Communication & Coordination: Facilitate shift handovers, attend production meetings, and ensure clear communication across teams.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, loaders, and other machinery as needed; assist with line setup and troubleshooting.
- High School diploma/GED required; college degree preferred
- 2–5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing- Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of plant operations
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, 5S, and quality control processes
- Forklift and heavy equipment operation experience
