Overhead Crane Operator

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation:

- Operate a remote overhead crane.

- Ensure safe and efficient handling of materials.

Physical Handling:

- Regularly lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

Quality Control:

- Maintain high standards of safety and operational efficiency.

Team Collaboration:

- Work in coordination with other departments.

- Contribute to team objectives and assist in various operational projects.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Must have at least 1 year of experience working specifically in a steel or metal environment, not just general industrial experience.

Skills & Abilities:

- Good communication and multitasking skills, including good English language proficiency.

- Flexibility and reliability in various work situations.

- Knowledge of safe operation of heavy machinery.

- Familiarity with basic measuring equipment, including micrometers.

Personal Attributes: Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to workplace safety.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Salary: $23.9 - $26.9 per hour.

- Additional pay for overtime.

- Midnight Shift Premium: Additional $1 per hour.

Working Hours:

- Full-time position with three shift options:

- Midnights: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM, starting Sunday night.

- Dayshift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

- Afternoons: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM.

- Candidates will be assigned to one specific shift but may occasionally be required to cover other shifts.
