Liftsafe Group of Companies is a privately owned company that designs, builds, inspects and maintains lifting, material handling, and fall protection systems equipment.
The purpose of Mechanical Assembler/Industrial Painter is to support our in-house fabrication team by accurately assembling mechanical equipment and supporting overflow painting activities. This position contributes to efficient production, quality workmanship, and the overall growth of the company by performing all tasks safely, effectively, and to established standards. This position is posted due to a current vacancy.
The primary duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler/Industrial Painter include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assembly of mechanical components.
- Organize materials & tools required.
- Plan and organize build sequence to meet orders.
- Communicate assembly progress to Operations team.
- Promptly report shortages to materials and fabrication Managers.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques based on direction from VP operations.
- Operate shop machinery safely and in compliance with company procedures.
- Participate in surface preparation by cleaning, sanding, masking, & priming prior to painting.
- Apply paint coatings using spray guns or other finishing tools.
- Inspect painted and assembled parts for defects, thickness, color match, and finish consistency.
- Move parts safely using carts, hoists, or forklifts (if certified).
- Clean and maintain spray guns, booths, and assembly tools.
- Performs other duties as required.
Fulfill your responsibilities by taking safety into consideration:
- Adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Report workplace hazards promptly to the Production Operations Manager.
- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all shop equipment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Experience in a manufacturing fabrication environment preferred.
- Experience in reading, interpreting and understanding shop blueprints.
- Experience painting with spray or industrial coatings.
- Have good mechanical aptitude.
- Demonstrate quality workmanship.
- Good attention to detail for finish quality and assembly accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Project management experience and/or a suitable college diploma.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills.
- Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to safely run shop machinery.
- Clean drivers abstract for using company vehicle.
- Fabrication shop environment
- Exposure to solvents and industrial equipment

- A Fast-paced shop environment, with frequent movement of materials and machinery

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate forklift
- Able to use manual material handling devices
