Role Description

We are looking for a Professional Engineer to fill the senior role of Manager of Engineering & Special Projects. Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Project management, including delegation, scheduling and assignments monitoring

- Create and review technical drawings, specification and reports

- Conduct cost analyses for new projects

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams

- Stay up to date with advancements in engineering technology and techniques

- Involvement in a variety of industry technical committees

- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress

- Emergency management response

Qualifications

- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng) in good standing

- Minimum 3 years’ experience

- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations

- Proficient in the use of engineering software such as AutoCAD and various web tools

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members, clients and contractors

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Willingness to travel to project sites and work outside regular business hours as required

This is a full-time position based in our Gravenhurst head office. Regular hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however due to the nature of the role, after hours emergencies and special projects may require work outside regular business hours.

Annual Compensation Range:

$90,000 - $105,000, plus a company vehicle and cell phone.
