- B.Sc. in Chemistry or 3 year Diploma in Chemistry with laboratory experience
- Common sense
- Organized
- Ability to handle several tasks at once
- Ability to work well unsupervised
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software
Responsibilities: May include some or all of the following; or any other assigned tasks directly or indirectly by the Geochemistry Instrumentation Manager/Supervisor:
- Preparation of samples for ICP/MS analysis
- Daily set-up, operation and trouble shooting of ICP/MS
- Prepare solutions for calibration of ICP/MS
- Maintenance of logs
- Instrument and equipment maintenance as required
- Disposal of analyzed samples and instrument waste
- Updating status in LIMS/Support Site for work orders being analyzed
- General laboratory housekeeping
- Assist in ensuring turnaround time meets clients and General Manager’s requirements of two weeks of receipt by working overtime when require
