Job Summary:
Windsor Salt's Ojibway Mine in Windsor, Ontario, has an opening for an engineering co-op student for the summer 2026 term. The successful applicant will provide technical support to the engineering and management teams at Windsor Salt.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining ventilation and ground movement records
- Performing the monthly development mapping (AutoCAD), showing all relocations in emergency routes, conveyor extensions, or brattice line developments
- Assisting the engineering team in matters relating to the selection of new equipment, material substitution, and prescheduled alterations or repairs
- Preparing the appropriations for capital and expense projects, in which they are involved
- Updating documentation, such as manuals, AutoCad drawings, etc.
- Performing electrical equipment audits, surveys, and data collection
- Safety-conscious team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Be registered in an accredited university engineering co-op program
- Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of SAP and AutoCAD is an asset
- A G/G2 Driver's License is mandatory for this position
The expected compensation for this role is $22/hour. This posting is for a temporary contract position (May through August 2026). Windsor Salt does not require Canadian work experience and does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to screen or assess applicants.
