Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and leading a team of skilled workers. This role requires strong knowledge of supply chain management, process improvement techniques, and mechanical systems to enhance productivity and quality.
- This employee has to have extensive knowledge in the galvanizing process including the following areas: loading, pickling, kettle as well quality
- Assist Supervisor with training and guiding new and existing employees in all aspects of the galvanizing and health & safety process, and ensure compliance with polices, procedures for safety and security, and regulations in force and participate in their improvement
- Must be willing to be a Certified Overhead Crane and Forklift Operator, as well as Certified Member of JHSC and particulate in quarterly meetings
- Delegate and Achieve daily Targets effectively
- Must be a reliable employee with a clean attendance record
- Has to be willing to provide coverage for the acting Supervisor and Leads while they're on vacation, like: Completing and submitting End of Day Report, Attendance, Corrective Actions, and being party on conducting performance reviews
- Should have an emphasis in identifying issues with production performance and have a vast knowledge of how to correct them
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations: planing, motoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results, establishing priorities,monitoring progress, revising schedules, reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries in accordance with logistic manager (shipper/receiver)
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures
- Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions, recommending action and implement corrective measures and process improvements
- Able to use Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word and Outlook) to help maintain organization and coordinate the company's flow of product
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the production team.
- Proven experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies and lean manufacturing practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on process improvement.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
