About Us:

EcoGrid Energy Inc. is an electrical contracting company specializing in commercial flat-roof solar PV systems. We’re known for solid workmanship, straightforward communication, and a commitment to safe, compliant, and efficient installations. We are currently looking to add a Registered Electrical Apprentice (309A) to support our commercial solar projects in Ottawa.

Responsibilities:

- Assist with the installation, wiring, and commissioning of commercial flat-roof solar PV systems

- Run conduit, pull wire, mount equipment, and support electrical tasks

- Help with disconnects, panel board work, and equipment installation

- Follow all Ontario Electrical Code and ESA standards

- Maintain accurate daily logs of apprenticeship hours

- Work closely with the field lead and Master Electrician to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality installations

- Support general site operations, material handling, and job-site organization

Requirements:

- Registered Electrical Apprentice (309A) with Skilled Trades Ontario

- Experience working on construction sites (electrical, solar, or related industries)

- Ability to work safely on commercial flat roofs and outdoors in varying conditions

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow technical direction

- Good communication skills and attention to detail

Assets (Nice to Have):

- Experience with solar PV systems (commercial or residential)

- Familiarity with conduit installation, wire pulls, or service equipment

- Working at Heights, First Aid, WHMIS certifications
