Position Overview:

The goal of the Operator is to work under the direction of the Supervisor in setting up and operating various machinery to fabricate metallic and non-metallic parts. This position involves all aspects of fabrication. The Operator will perform various other general labour duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

Operates various types of machinery including CNC Machines, Punch Presses, Saws, and Robotic Cells

Assists with assembly, packaging, general housekeeping, and supporting other machine operators

Performs necessary quality checks as per quality instructions and records

Ensures the safe, timely production of goods in line with operating standards

Performs daily set-up operations and basic preventative maintenance measures

Assures the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and maintains high standards of housekeeping

Skills and Abilities:

- Working in a fast-paced, manufacturing/industrial or construction environment

- Working with power tools

- Ability to work individually or in a team environment

- Ability to read and follow instructions and able to undertake basic measuring calculations

- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form

- Ability to think ahead and visualize next step

- Willingness to Learn

- Mechanically inclined
