About ASTAR
ASTAR We are an Oklahoma company with a national presence. We specialize in compliance consulting and safety services for oil/gas pipelines. We have 10 offices nationwide and are looking to continue our expansion. We are looking for a results-driven Software Engineer with expertise in AI, cloud infrastructure, and full-stack development to join our growing team. This role combines software engineering, AI integration, DevOps, and vendor coordination in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Develop and deploy AI-powered applications using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or APIs like OpenAI.
- Design, build, and iterate on rapid prototypes to test concepts and accelerate innovation.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP also acceptable) for performance, security, and scalability.
- Administer Git/GitHub repositories, enforcing clean code practices, pull request reviews, and documentation standards.
- Collaborate with outsourced development teams to track feature requests, bug fixes, and delivery timelines.
- Partner with internal IT teams to integrate systems, ensure security compliance, and maintain operational stability.
- Support DevOps initiatives including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.
- 3–5 years of professional software development experience with production-ready applications.
- Proficiency in at least one core programming language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go).
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP a plus).
- Experience with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.
- Proven ability to communicate technical requirements to cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Understanding of IT systems integration and standard security practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in full-stack development for web and/or cloud applications.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and API integration.
- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
