Overview

The quality assurance/quality control laboratory technician will be responsible for all QA/QC testing of raw materials and finished products manufactured by Innospec Oilfield Services. This role will be based in the laboratory, with occasional work in the manufacturing plant during product trials and sampling activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

In order to succeed in this role, an individual must be able to perform the following duties satisfactorily, in addition to other assigned responsibilities:

- Operate and maintain sensitive pieces of laboratory equipment involved in testing product samples for physical characteristics.

- Enter test results into L.I.M.S. database for reporting and record keeping purposes.

- Ensure sufficient reagents and consumables inventories are maintained to support testing without delay.

- Follow written test procedures (ASTM, S.O.P., etc.) to ensure consistency in sample testing.

- Accurately document information by maintaining daily logs; equipment records books; an organized laboratory notebook.

- Analyze samples received in a timely manner, ensuring accurate results are obtained.

- Able to communicate results to manufacturing team.

Qualifications

- High School Diploma equivalent industry experience required, STEM degree preferred 2

- 23 years of Laboratory Experience involving the use of sensitive pieces of equipment

- Strong analytical skills

- Strong mathematical skills

- Proficient in all MS programs

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
