Job Summary:
The Order-to-Cash Specialist is responsible for managing customer orders from receipt to shipment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service throughout the O2C lifecycle. This role supports production, planning, logistics, and sales by ensuring order accuracy, monitoring status, and coordinating fulfillment in a fast-growing manufacturing environment.
- Enter, review, and maintain customer orders in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Validate pricing, lead times, terms, and item configuration before order entry.
- Prepare and send order acknowledgements to customers.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Procurement, and Logistics on capacity and material availability.
- Monitor order changes, expedite requests, cancellations, and lead-time shifts.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance.
- Assist in resolving order discrepancies and customer-facing issues.
- Support process development and SOP improvements for O2C.
- Prepare and maintain regular O2C performance and backlog reports.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of experience in order entry, supply chain, customer service, or O2C (manufacturing preferred).
- Experience with ERP systems; Business Central experience highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational discipline.
- Understanding of production scheduling, inventory, and shipping fundamentals.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP systems.
- Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency.
- Ability to interpret purchase orders, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Familiarity with shipping documents and invoicing workflows.
- Experience with SharePoint or digital document management preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Customer-centric mindset.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Problem-solving and proactive issue resolution.
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and ownership.
The work environment will be a mix of a typical office environment, a manufacturing floor and a construction site. Noise level: Normal office, manufacturing and construction noises.
