Position Summary
Under general guidance, handles daily field oversight of assigned wells. Primary duties include gauging and reporting production, equipment maintenance, and assistance in diagnosing well problems. Maintains operations of various artificial lift equipment with moderate oversight.
Responsibilities
•Gauge production on assigned wells, and report gauge readings, downtime and other pertinent well information.
•Perform lease maintenance such as minor surface pump and production equipment repairs and adjustments; trim weeds, clean up trash, etc.; change stuffing boxes, grease pumping units, service lease equipment, etc.
•Communicate problems and/or recommend courses of action to the supervisor to decrease costs and increase production.
•Assist in witnessing meter calibrations and monitor chemical use as needed.
•Perform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all wells and leases for which the pumper is responsible.
•Maintain operations of various artificial lift equipment with moderate oversight.
•Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
•General knowledge of safe oil and gas production operations.
•Basic knowledge of mechanical principles and an understanding of subsurface and surface equipment and operations.
•Must be able to perform simple math calculations.
•Must have a good driving record.
•Be results-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive projects while focusing on the quality of work.
•General knowledge of computer-based applications and ability to input data using a computer.
Physical Requirements and Conditions
•Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, bend, and climb for extended periods.
•Regularly lift and carry equipment and materials up to 50 pounds, occasional lifting of heavier items with assistance.
•Frequent use of hands to handle tools, operate machinery, and perform equipment maintenance.
•Ability to safely operate motor vehicles.
•Manual dexterity sufficient for performing detailed tasks involving mechanical tools and small parts.
•Regular exposure to dust, chemicals, oil, gas, and other hazardous materials associated with oilfield operations.
•Work carried out around moving mechanical parts and loud noise.
•Travel to and between remote work sites using a company vehicle is required.
•Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as flame-resistant clothing (FRC), safety glasses, gloves, hard hat, and steel-toed boots.
•Must follow all Mustang Fuel Corporation safety procedures and report potential hazards or incidents immediately. Must comply with all company safety protocols and environmental regulations to ensure secure operations.
