Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing mechanical repairs and maintenance, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. This role requires strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Duties
•Supervise and coordinate the activities of the mechanical team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
•Diagnose mechanical issues using various tools and techniques, including Tech Tool
•Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance on a variety, mack trucks, tanker trailers and equipemnt.,
•Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
•Train and mentor junior mechanics, providing guidance on best practices and safety protocols.
•Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inventory management.
•Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations across the facility.
Requirements
•Must Provide your daily tools. Canyon Provides all specialty tools.
•Proven experience as a mechanic with a strong understanding of mechanical systems.
•Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, including an Ohmmeter.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
•Strong leadership capabilities with experience in supervising a team.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
•Commitment to safety standards and practices in the workplace.
