Role Summary:

The Data Scientist II position is part of the AI & Digital Transformation team and is responsible for applying advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to support business objectives. This role focuses on hands-on data work, including collecting, preparing, and engineering structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. The position performs opportunity sizing through data analysis, develops and deploys machine learning models, and assists in operationalizing solutions. Candidates should have strong technical skills in Python, R, SQL, and experience with machine learning algorithms.

What You Will Do

Collect, manage and analyze both structured and unstructured data from disparate sources.

Clean, merge and validate data to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Research and develop machine learning and/or statistical models to solve business problems.

Participate in workshops with business customers to rapidly identify business use cases for data science projects.

Analyze complex structured and unstructured data from disparate sources.

Extract the story from the data and present it simply and effectively through reports and dashboards.

Assist in finding solutions to complex business problems and use cases using internal and external data sources.

Identify and apply machine learning and statistical models to problems.

Assist in operationalizing machine learning models.

Collaborate with data analysts, subject matter experts and application developers to identify data sources.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

What You Will Need

Minimum Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, computer science or related field required.

Preferred Master's Degree in data science, mathematics, statistics or related field preferred.

Experience analyzing structured and unstructured data from disparate sources.

Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL (Oracle, MS SQL).

Working knowledge of Python and R scripting languages.

Working knowledge of multiple types of machine learning and statistical algorithms and their applications.

Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

Minimum Applicable driver's license.

Mobility to travel in and around office facilities system wide.

Communicate and exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations.
