The Water Laboratory Technician – Compliance Specialist involves a broad range of duties and is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance within the water system.
Essential Job Functions
- Will work to become a primary resource and liaison between departments in all areas related to Lead and Copper, including sampling processes, rules and regulations.
- Provide consistent customer service in a professional manner, as well as, public outreach and education.
- Maintains neat, accurate and concise documentation and records on all phases of sample collection, submissions and communications.
- Collects samples of untreated and treated waters and performs required laboratory analysis and documentation to meet EPA and LCDU water quality requirements for special purpose sampling.
- May perform general housekeeping duties and maintain a clean workspace.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED. Preferred background in Public Health. A valid Ohio Driver's license with a safe driving record and a drug screening are required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Applicants should have excellent written and verbal communication skills; basic computer skills; knowledge of principles and practices of chemistry and laboratory techniques. This position may require overtime, weekend and holiday work, as well as, flexible hours. Qualified candidates should be able to multi-task, problem solve and work with various teams.

Additional Premium
- Class I License: $1.50/hr.
- Class II License: $1.75/hr.
- Class III License: $2.25/hr.
