Shifts : Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturday based on operational needs. Shifts are: Dayturn, 7 am-3:30 pm, Afternoons 3 pm-11:30 pm, and Midnights 11 pm-7 am.
Hours: We are looking to hire for all shifts, but if hired, personnel will start and be trained for an unspecified amount of time from 7AM-3:30PM and will be assigned to a shift after completion.
Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented , career minded, Quality Inspector to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the quality of our products meets all internal and external quality standards.
Primary Function: Maintains quality standards by auditing incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products; recording quality results.
- Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished components:
a. Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products. Insure that all tested products fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, etc.
b. Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
c. Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to quality supervisor.
d. Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
- Follow all housekeeping procedures. Organizes work and storage areas for efficient workflow. Comply with all quality, safety, work rules and regulations.
- Will be trained on the use of inspection hand tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Hardness Testers, Tape Measures, etc.
- Will be trained to read and understand Blueprints & Product Drawings. GD&T experience is a plus.
- Acceptable Math Skills - A math assessment will be given to the prospective candidate where you will need to show basic math skills and achieve the required score to be considered for the position.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and possess the ability to make decisions.
- Thorough and effective communication, both verbal and written, with all plant personnel within a positive team environment.
- Computer literacy required
- Prior experience in manufacturing or extrusions preferred.
HOURLY RATE OF PAY IS DETERMINED BY EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, PRIOR TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS.
