Employee in the role will be able to set up and run all types of grinding machines and other machines in the grinding department. Equipment includes but is not limited to Cylindrical Grinders, ID grinders, Centerless Grinders, double disk grinders. Employee will interpret prints, prepare and set up machines, achieve first piece qualification, run production or working with supervisor, assign capable operator to run production. Employee is responsible for all aspects of the production process, including: material handling, equipment set up and operation, process monitoring, quality control, and various support activities. The position duties and responsibilities can change from time to time based on the company’s needs. Job priorities (work piece assignment) can change often based on company and customer needs
-Set up and Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
*Calculate and adjust speeds and feeds to obtain desired output
-Read and interpret prints to assure quality output
-Maintain and set up machines for efficient production
-Inspect and measure parts to maintain high quality output
-Instruct and monitor operators on the use of equipment
-Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly
-Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
-Recommend and lead process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
· Minimum 4 years of grinding experience or equivalent experience and education
· Attention to Detail – job requires detail and care in completing work tasks.
· Dependability – job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations. This starts with coming to work each day on time as scheduled.
· Integrity – the job requires being honest and ethical.
· PCM maintains a drug-free workplace and selected candidate will be required to take a pre-employment drug screen.
· Hourly wage will be based on experience.
· Day shift hours (Mon – Fri 6:00a – 2:30p)
· Must be available to work overtime as needed. Weekdays until 3:30p and Saturday’s from 6:00a – 11:00a
· Medical, Dental, and insurance available after 90 days.
· 13 paid holidays after completion of 90 day training period
· 401K with company match, $1 for $1 up to 4% of salary
