Panel Wiring Technician & Assembler builds electrical power cabinets, electronic panels/sub-assemblies, PC boards, and other miscellaneous mechanical assemblies/wiring for custom projects per customer requirements. ATI is adding a Panel Wiring Technician & Assembler to the team, seeking candidates trained in, or having previous experience with, electrical panel wiring, electrical, electronic and mechanical assembly, with the ability to maintain and achieve stated production standards. Panel Wiring Technician & Assembler responsibilities include:
- Wire and assemble various electrical and electronic sub-assemblies, power cabinet and/or final products following assembly instructions, blueprint specifications and parts lists.
- Perform point to point electrical wiring, anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, wire tagging, crimping & wire/cable stripping.
- Positions, aligns, and adjusts wires and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly of final product.
- Connect, position parts and subassemblies using templates and or reading measurements.
- Lays out, routes, and ties wire to panels by using wiring bundles, bundle holders, duct, and wire way and other protectors with hand tools.
- Assemble components by examining schematics, fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Place, wire, solder and connect PC boards and/or units as needed.
- Use of hand tools, and other light machinery as directed.
- Experience using schematic diagrams/blueprints and ability to follow other written or verbal instructions.
- Must be able to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions.
- Mechanically inclined with good dexterity - able to use both hand and power tools.
- Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet quality and quantity standards.
- Proven experience with safe production standards.
- Stable work history.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
- Basic math may be required for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts.
- Must be able to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Panel Wiring Technician & Assembler Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1-2 years’ experience in electrical wiring and mechanical assembly preferred, will train
- Knowledge of electrical terminology and symbols preferred, will train
