CSL Technology Solutions Project Management team is seeking an experienced Electrical Field Technician to become a part of our team as we continue to grow. This position requires weekly travel, usually M-F, across Ohio and also out of state. You must also be able to work varying shifts indoors and outdoors. If you are looking to expand your capabilities and take on new challenges, this position offers the opportunity to work in different environments and on different equipment.
Our Field Electrician Technicians are responsible for the installation, testing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing of electrical equipment, controls and fixtures in a wide variety of commercial and industrial environments including, but not limited to, manufacturing facilities, retail stores, hospitals, municipalities, restaurants and schools.
- Install, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair electrical equipment, lighting and circuitry in industrial and/or commercial environments;
- Maintain and repair buildings' electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches, fuses, light bulbs, ballasts, and/or fixtures;
- Operate and work safely from bucket truck, scissor lifts, boom lifts, ladders, scaffolds, and roof tops, to maintain, repair, or upgrade electrical equipment, wiring, ballasts and fixtures;
- Assist with layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes;
- Bend conduit, and install conduit, pipes, or tubing and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes;
- Install and troubleshoot transformers, ballasts, lighting fixtures, panels, junction boxes and control systems;
- Inspect and test electrical lighting, signals, communication, and power circuits;
- Trenching, pouring concrete, and other required work to complete electrical installation/repair jobs
- Complete all work orders safely, correctly and efficiently
- Communicate effectively and document all work related activities (required pictures, notes, time, etc) according to work order requirements
- 2-5 years of documented industrial or commercial electrician experience
- Valid driver's license
- DOT certification or ability to obtain
- Familiarity with high voltage, medium voltage and low voltage electrical systems
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions
- Proficient in NEC codes & guidelines
- Reading/troubleshooting blueprints and/or schematics
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches or laying conduit in all-season weather conditions
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Daily, often times weekly, out of town travel requirements Monday-Friday, seldom on weekends
- Ability to work all three shifts as work times are customer dependent and vary by the projects scheduled each week
