The Director of Global Supply Management is responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize the global supply chain, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of materials and services. This role oversees supplier relationships, procurement processes, and risk management across international markets to support organizational goals and operational excellence.
- Develop and implement global supply chain strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Lead procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management for critical materials and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to ensure reliability and performance.
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply chain risks to mitigate potential disruptions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, finance) to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies across all regions.
- Manage and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Utilize data analytics and KPIs to measure performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Support sustainability and ethical sourcing initiatives within the global supply network.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain or procurement leadership roles.- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, logistics, and supplier management.
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and risk mitigation.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain analytics tools.
- Primary work performed in an office setting with standard business hours.
- Occasional domestic and international travel required for supplier visits and business meetings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
