Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to support a key project involving complex data analysis, data quality improvements, and system integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Excel, data validation, and cross-functional collaboration with IT, product, and operations teams. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
•Analyze customer data and create hierarchies for Organizations, Facilities, Accounts, and Meters
•Evaluate and propose improvements to existing data hierarchies to enhance data quality
•Create detailed design documentation for development teams on customer integrations
•Manage and update DevOps tasks and support business teams in sprint planning
•Develop and execute test cases for data validation in QA environments
•Support integration of systems including Energy Cap, BSNY, and other platforms
•Track adoption metrics and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure platform usage and sustainability
Duties Include
•Collect and document data requirements and data flows
•Identify and document relevant data attributes and perform source-to-target mapping
•Investigate, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources
•Identify data issues and support data remediation (manual and automated)
•Document key data workflows, cleansing processes, and monitoring activities
•Create documentation to support reproducibility of data analysis for stakeholders
Required Skills
•Strong SQL skills – writing queries, extracting, and transforming data
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
•Experience analyzing large and complex datasets for trends, patterns, and performance indicators
•Experience in documenting technical processes and data workflows
•Ability to assess data quality and coordinate with business and IT to resolve issues
•Proficient in data aggregation, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
•Experience with Energy Management solutions (Preferred)
Education & Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
•Minimum 6+ years of experience in data analysis and interpretation
•Experience with Business Intelligence (BI) tools is a plus
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.50 per week
